Insanity DVD Workout Program (Final Week Review)

Well, here we are, at the end of the Insanity road! Today was my last day doing the Insanity Workout Program and I have to say, it’s been a long journey. This last week was extremely difficult because every possible obstacle seemed to be in my way- I didn’t feel well at the start of this week, work has been ridiculously stressful and I haven’t gotten nearly as much sleep as I need. BUT, in the face of all that, I decided to DIG DEEPER! (as Shaun-T says lol) and finish this thing. So, for the last time, here are the highlights:

So this past week has been insane in terms of work. Late nights, constant calls, you name it. I literally have been waking up each day to about 40 work emails. So that definitely made it rough to stick my usual schedule. The unbelievable happened- I MISSED A DAY! It was just impossible to get my workout in Thursday so I had to double up this weekend to finish. I’m disappointed that I got to day 57/60 and then missed a day, but hey, life happens! I still finished out strong.

I have to say that my body never really got used to the workouts in Month 2 like I did in Month 1!! Max Interval Plyometrics still kicked my butt this week and Max Cardio Conditioning today seemed neverending! I will say that I do feel stronger though; I can way more pushups, oblique pushups, power jumps and squats than ever before! So that’s a definite plus. Arms are much more toned and I’m starting to see definition in my quads and calves, which is new!! My abs still have a way to go, but they are getting there- Insanity is all about core strength and I know that I’ve improved.

On eating, I was pretty good this week, all things considered. Lots of fish and lots of veggies. I did drink a lot more caffeine this week, so I felt a bit more dehydrated, but all in all my eating habits this week were okay.

My final highlight: I thought about it, and while I’m still not comfortable putting up my “Before and After” pictures on Facebook, I am really proud of my stats and do feel comfortable sharing some of those with all you friends who have followed so you can see my final results. So here they are:

Weight: 126.8 / 124.6
Bust: 34 / 33
Chest 29 / 28
Waist: 30 / 28
Low waist: 33 / 31
Hips: 38 / 37

Total Lost: 7 inches!!

When I look at myself in the mirror, it really is incredible the transformation that I see. I’m so proud and so excited that Insanity has gotten me this far!!! 😀

So what’s next? Well if I’ve learned anything from Insanity, it’s that being healthy & fit is an ongoing process and takes long term commitment. 😉 I will probably keep doing the Insanity workouts (though probably not 6 times/wk lol) and start working in other things into my workout regimen. Diet is also critical, so I will begin focusing more of my energy on eating healthier and more thoughtfully.

  2. Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point. You definitely know what youre talking about, why waste your intelligence on just posting videos to your blog when you could be giving us something informative to read?

    I must congratulate you on your finish and I agree with you 100 percent from start, we are going on ore 5th week, that’s my husband and I, but for my self I have more to weight to lose. What you recommend after Shaun T, starting over doing his regiment, or finding one his DVD and just stick that one.
