Alright all you Insanity fans! It’s time for another weekly update, the second to last update, on my Insanity journey. 🙂 So here goes:
Apparently, according to my scale, I have dropped a few lbs. Pssht. I am skeptical of the scale so who knows what that’s about. But it is definitely good news. Unfortunately, my measurements stayed the same, so that was a bit disappointing. I have no explanation for this other than maybe I lost more fat than I gained in muscle this week. Any other thoughts on this? Also I: (1) didn’t drink my protein shakes consistently this week and (2) have been extremely stressed out at work (read: highly caffeinated), so I think those may be two contributing factors.
As I mentioned above, work has been ridiculously stressful! It was really hard getting to all the workouts in this week because things have gotten so busy- I usually do the workouts in the mornings, but had to get in super early one day this week so couldn’t get it done. I managed to sneak out that evening and get the workout in, but it was a close one! It’s my LAST WEEK, so I cannot fail! 😉
On eating. I’ve been pretty good- yep, that’s right, THREE WEEKS without an oatmeal raisin cookie! It has gotten a lot easier to stay away from them because I just rely on healthier snacks to get me through the day. I will say though that I’ve become quite fond of chicken wraps but will often get the tastiest (but least healthy) kind of chicken inside! I’m talking breaded, buffalo chicken or breaded chicken with thai spicy sauce. Yum! But not the greatest for the diet. It’s my one calories splurge but it might be time to cut ties. Alcohol intake is down so that’s also a plus (at least calorie-wise lol) too. Little by little I’m trimming the last vestiges of fat from my diet!
So, obviously, I’m nearing the end of this thing. I really want to thank all my friends and family who have been SUPER supportive! I’m still debating what I’m going to do next, so I’m open to any suggestions people have! I think whatever I need to do needs to incorporate lots of cardio, bc in the end I think that’s what gets it done, but I am open to incorporating more strength/weight training into my workout plan now. So I’m still ruminating…
