It’s been a bit quiet on the blog guys, I know. I’ve been in the throes of wedding planning so I’m sorry to have left you wanting some good ole CFC posts! Well here’s a healthy dose with my Week 11 LiveFit Review…
Shorter Workouts! Well Sort Of…
So one of the best things about Week 11 is that the workouts change! Instead of the 9-11 different exercises for the different muscle groups, you do 3-4 circuits containing 6-7 exercises. Then you can pick whatever 30-40mins of cardio you enjoy! So for example, one of the days this week I did 20 reps of each of the following exercises (without rest): (i) Barbell Bicep Curl (EZ Curl bar), (ii) Lying Tricep Press, (iii) Overhead Dumbbell Extension, (iv) Bench Dips, (v) Jacknife Sit-Ups and (vi) Crunches. Then I rested for 5-minutes and repeated that circuit, then rested, then repeated. Done! I really LOVE this structure to the workouts; it feels faster, I’m able to get into a rhythm faster and I’m breaking a sweat by the end of the first circuit! Plus, I’m able to finish 3-4 circuits in 30-40 minutes and then hit the cardio for 30-40mins. So sometimes the workout is only 1hr! (It’s the small favors guys lol) So definitely loving the reboot to the structure.
Insanity is BACK!
I posted on the Facebook page last week that I’d done a “blast from the past” Insanity workout: Plyometric Cardio Circuit. Well Jamie said to do whatever cardio you enjoy most, so that was me, pushing through with Shaun-T! I’d forgotten how tough even the warm-up was guys!! I definitely still feel the burn , even after having done Insanity and T25– Shaun knows how to push you! Loved the fact that this week I was able to fold back in the cardio that I’ve come to love! Jamie + Shaun is definitely a solid one-two punch!
Wedding Planning is Sabotaging My Eating/Sleeping Regimen!
Okay so just one lowlight this week and it had nothing to do with the workout. There are so many ways that wedding planning has sabotaged my regimen! Between the various food/dessert tastings, stressful nights up late sending emails/populating our registry, etc. my eating and sleeping habits have been all kinds of off! I’m not really looking to lose much weight before my wedding, but every bride wants to shed a few pounds before the big day and I’m one of the many! Don’t know how I’m going to manage it, but I have just about 2-months to get my eating and sleeping act back on track. Any advice from fit, married gals out there on how they managed it? #brideguideswanted
