Fitness After Baby: A New CFC Chapter!

You’re probably wondering where I’ve been?!!

It’s been AWHILE (almost 2yrs!) since I’ve posted on this blog. I’m sorry to have dropped off the map; part of it was due to life events (I got a new, more demanding job in mid-2016 and decided to take a step back from Beachbody and fitness coaching) and part of it was that I felt I had less to say about fitness (hello writer’s block!).

During my blog hiatus, I’ve still been committed to fitness (I completed a half-marathon in November 2016 and continued to workout at home with my workout DVDs going into 2017). To be honest, I even thought about shutting down this blog, or at least posting a final, farewell post to close the loop.

And then this happened!


Yes, that’s right, I’m a mommy!! The pics above are dated; I had my son in September 2017 and it’s totally changed my world!

So, needless to say, I feel like I have a LOT of new things to say about fitness. I plan on posting my thoughts on how I stayed fit during pregnancy, what I’m doing to jumpstart my fitness post-partum and my tips for new mom fitness. I hope that you’ll follow these new posts (which I expect will be monthly).

Please share your experiences/thoughts if you are a new parent on a fitness journey! Would also love to hear from new moms (and dads!) out there!

  1. Congratulations! We had our baby girl in September as well 🙂 I keep dreaming of restarting my blog too to share my running adventures during pregnancy but so far no time. I’ll look forward to your posts! Staying fit while pregnant helped me a lot and I’m sure your posts will be very helpful to all the future mommies 😉

  2. I’m so excited for you Helen. That’s awesome. I had a baby in April and was able to work out up until 40 weeks and felt great but unfortunately didn’t get started again yet. I plan to do T25 this week and get back on the train because my baby is already 8 months. Fortunately I was able to lose all the baby weight within the first 2 months through nursing but I’m soft and fluffy. I’m dying to get back on the train so this post came as a welcome surprise! Congrats again!!!
